Anime like Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 and Attack On Titan Season 2 are few examples of what we hoped to see this year but sadly we never even got close to finding a trailer.
We still don’t have to feel down about all that since 2016 has brought us awesome anime shows that made our year extra special. And since the end of 2016 is coming to a close and the hopeful new seasons is far out of sight, let’s look back on the best anime released this year.

2. Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia)
The story circles around the main protagonist Izuku Midoriya who dreams of nothing but to be a hero. Newly discovered superpowers called “Quirks” has been steadily increasing and sadly Izuku does not have it.Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!
Grotesque monsters known as Impurities reside in Magano, a realm parallel to the present day. Exorcists purify these evil apparitions to protect the people. “Twin Star Exorcist” is a title bestowed upon married exorcists, Rokuro Enmado and Benio Adashino received the title and must now work together to exorcise all Kegare or Impurities in the world.
Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. “Mob”) is a 8th grader with psychic abilities. Trying to fit in from the rest of the people around him, Mob slowly began to withhold his powers and dreams to become friends with a girl in his class,Tsubomi.
A series who made rounds in the internet for getting mixed reviews. The story follows Satoru in his mission to uncover what truly transpired 18 years ago and prevent the death of his classmate while protecting those he cares about in the present.
6. Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen – Mirai-hen
The world was close to being destroyed by Ultimate Despair, who caused “The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History.” In order to save this world from the event’s chaos, the Future Foundation was formed. Although the organization continues its activities to restore the world, Makoto Naegi is under suspicion of treason due to him shielding a Remnant of Despair.
In this game where class trials don’t exist, the only way to get rid of the traitor is to find him and kill him off. Naegi are forced to face the ultimate death game, where it’s kill or be killed. The tale of despair in which hope kills hope begins.

When sixteen-year-old Takamiya Naho receives a mysterious letter, claiming to be from her twenty-seven-year-old self, her life is suddenly thrown into flux. The letter informs her that a new transfer student by the name of Naruse Kakeru will be joining her class, and to keep her eye on him. What is Naho to make of the letter’s contents and its cryptic warning?
