Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry Film Announced For 2017

No one can deny the fact that “Fairy Tail”  series has created its own fandom around the world. It’s unique storyline, characters, and the development of the story made it different from the rest of anime we see everyday.

Fairy Tail is a fantasy, action manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, being his second major publication after RAVE. The series has been published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2006, where a total of 48 volumes have been produced to date.The anime adaptation Fairy Tail started airing in 2009 and became a huge hit to anime fans, the series even has its own monthly magazine.


For all “Fairy Tail” fans out there, Hiro Mashima has brought you something to look forward to this Spring 2017! The 25th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine announced that a second anime film of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga has been green-lit, “Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry”. It was also reported that the second film will have it’s first release in Japan.


Last year has been a blast for everyone as “Fairy Tail” celebrated its 10th anniversary after its first debut in August 2006. The manga is still in good progress and the first anime film “Fairy Tail:Priestess of the Phoenix ” was a huge success. Fairy Tail may have been slower on releasing feature films than the rest but fans are not sad about it. They still enjoyed reading the contents of the manga and the anime series just makes it more promising.



It took long for the second film to be announced but we all know its gonna be worth the wait right? This year, Fairy Tail will continue to impress there fans around the world and we can’t wait to see Natsu and the rest of the guild members back in action.
