Kuroko’s Basketball is Back!

The popular anime series ‘Kuroko’s Basketball’ is back for an anime film that will open in Japan this coming March 18, 2017. The movie adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki‘s “Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game” manga series, titled “Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game” (“Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game”) will show the sophomore year of Kuroko and Kagami.

“Kuroko no Basket,” also known as “The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays,” follows the story of the Phantom sixth man of the Generation on Miracles from the Teiko Middle School Basketball Team. Despite being weak and small compared to other players, Kuroko uses his lack of presence to pass and steal the ball using misdirection. The anime series ended its third season in June 2015 and fans have been clamoring for a new season.

“Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie: Last Game” anime film will give the fans an exciting come back for Kuroko and his team. The Japanese team will be crushed in the court by an American team called “Jabberwock”. Kuroko and Kagami assembles the most powerful team called “Vorpal Swords” to get revenge over the cocky American basketball team in a street match. Who’s the players that Kuroko assembled you ask? Here they are in their official Vorpal Swords uniform:

The cast members and most of the production team will be back for the movie. Shunsuke Tada, who directed all three seasons of the “Kuroko no Basket” anime series will come back as film director. Yoko Kikuchi will handle character designs, Noboru Takagi will be in charge of series composition, and Yoshihiro Ike from the anime seasons 2 and 3 will compose the music score. So that might explain why the fourth season for the anime series is still out of sight.

According to Anime News Network, those who would buy tickets earlier starting on Dec. 3 will get an A5-size folder which has a picture of one of the members of Vorpal Swords team. That’s a really good deal for the fans, so collect them all!
