Oh yes, the perks of watching anime do its own thing is beyond happiness, but suddenly you heard the news that they’re making a live-action movie about it, “Oh God, Please don’t let them screw it up!“(face palm).
There’s nothing wrong with live-action movies, but the chances of screwing it up are higher than making it successful, no offense. We have seen a lot of anime being taken for a live-action film but none of them seem to exceed the expectations (or even reach the middle if I must say).
One anime in particular making the rounds over the internet is not just any anime but one of the most famous and unforgettable one, “Fullmetal Alchemist”. When I heard they were making a movie for it, I couldn’t help myself but imagine and expect something that will blow my mind. But when I saw the first trailer released for the movie, it felt like gravity pulled out all the feels — I wish I didn’t watch it.
Yes it’s only a quick look, but come on, there’s nothing that made me excited about it anymore. Why did you have to do this!?
Many fans are disappointed about it, especially when they saw Edward being played by an Asian character instead of a German or someone blonde just like the Edward Elric in the anime. There’s no problem with Asian characters but why put them on an anime which is supposed to be German. Ryosuke Yamada ( playing the role of Edward) is a good actor and have played a lot of roles in live-action films but for this one, it’s a so-so decision. Why can’t they stick to the characters’ nationality from the anime in the first place?
I just really wish Santa would hear my wish that they never screw it up, well, not make it any more worst that is… The movie is set to release this 2017, so if you don’t want to miss it, keep yourself updated with the latest news.
