The latest craze for the phenomenal augmented-reality game Pokémon GO is far from being over. The hunt for the best pokemons out there will get more interesting upon the latest news released by the game developer Niantic.
Ever had those moments you couldn’t take your eyes off your phone hoping that a pokemon might be close or right in front of you? Well yes, most of Pokémon GO players went through the same thing, causing more accidents, bumping with one another, and all other accidents you could imagine. But there’s no need to worry now, Pokémon GO Plus will finally be available to the world really soon, and by soon I mean September 16, 2016. That’s next week!
The device will retail for 3,500 yen (about US$34.40) in Japan. The device will retail for US$34.99 in the U.S. So if you’re willing to spend that money for the sake of giving you ease on finding pokemons, mark that calendar.
The release of the device was supposed to be in late July but got delayed. The unprecedented success of the game was the reason for the delay so that they could manufacture more units for the game’s huge number of users. And by number of users around the world, we’re talking not only thousands but millions!
The device works like a smart watch, it allows players to capture nearby pokemons without relying on their phones. You can put it on your pocket or as a wristband. It will flash or vibrate to alert players of any pokemon in the area. Pressing the white button in the center will toss a pokeball at the pokemon. And to make the device more interesting, it will also alert users whenever a Pokestop is in range; pressing the white button is equal to spinning the shop for free items.
In relation to this good news, the question is, will the players who stopped playing the game come back because of this device? Without any updates in the Pokémon GO app, I think the game would be the same, just made them easier to catch the pokemons.
