High School DXD Season 4 Debunked To Release This 2016!

After the much awaited announcement of High School of the Dead Season 2 which is set to be released next year, it was never too late to raise the hopes of our fans that High School DxD is not too far behind for its new season announcement. Bottomless speculations are swirling around the internet and the rumors for its close release this 2016 started to bring a beam of light for High School DxD fans. And to take away the burden of fans searching for answers regarding these rumors, I believe we may have the answer that you are looking for.

One certain rumor with the possible season 4 are those suggesting that Issei’s friend and rival Genshirou Saji, another Sacred Gear user, will end up fighting and defeating Loki and that season 4 will actually arrive sometime this year. But if you have been an avid reader of the light novel of High School DxD, the Saji VS Loki rumor is too far-fetched and does not even exist unless the producers will deviate the story on the adaptation.

There are also rumors that Issei Hyoudou’s kids from the future coming back and stirring things up in the past. But to clear things up, the existence of Issei’s children are in the spinoff six-part special light novel “High School DxD EX,” which was released with the Blu-Ray volumes of the anime series third season, “High School DxD BorN.”

To give you a flashback of where the series currently follows the story:

The babes and boys of the Occult Research Club are Back! Lovable loser (and bust buff) Issei and his clan of bewitching beauties return for a new season of supernatural tussles and sexy shenanigans—featuring old friends and new enemies! Now that all the girls live in Issei’s home, life seems like nothing but fun and scantily-clad lounging…for now! Join Rias, Akeno, Koneko, Asia, Xenovia, Gasper, and everyone’s favorite Harem King Issei as they fight, fumble, and fondle their way through their demonic high school lives.

So the possibility of that rumor is only a misconception for the fans to believe that the season 4 is close for release. So why do we still not have a High School DxD Season 4?

Compared to the much better received prior two seasons, the performance of third season in home media sales was much lower. While “High School DxD” season 1 sold more than 10, 000 copies and season 2 selling for around 9000, “High School DxD BorN” only sold around 6000 copies. While the profits from those sales might be enough to produce another season, it is too low to begin production right now. If you want another speculation, if the maths won’t fail us, High School DxD  Season 4 will be released this 2018.
