Ever since the release of Pokemon Go, people have gone out of their houses to hunt for pokemons. But for those who are eager to start the game already, please bear in mind the danger before playing the game and remember this 5 crucial reminders:
1. BE PATIENT!
The game itself needs your full patience: Patience from searching for certain pokes you want to catch, and extreme patience for the usual “SERVER DOWN” problems you’ll get along the way. MMO games are good candidates for bugs, and with a game that probably have 25 million people playing at the SAME time, the server will totally have a hard time catching up and bugs are really not helping to make it easy for them, so be patient!
2. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD
Please be advised to keep your eyes on the road! Ever since Pokemon Go was released and became a phenomenon(breaking the record of number of users on Twitter), news about car accidents and people getting hit by cars while playing Pokemon Go! Someone has even fallen off the cliff because of it.That’s alarming. So if you start hunting, don’t concentrate too much looking at your phone and keep an eye on the road you are walking or driving.
3. RESPECT RESTRICTED AREAS AND PRIVACY
Ever got the experience where a neighbor knocks on your door (which is not even close to you by the way) and asks if they could go to your backyard just to catch a Pokemon? How does it feel? Well, some people might just laugh it out but MANY neighbors are not happy about it. Many trainers have been caught walking or jogging around government restricted areas for the sake of catching a pokemon. I know how much you might want to catch that pokemon but you wouldn’t want to catch a poke on jail do you?
4. WATCH OUT FOR THE TIME AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS
Well, you want to catch them all so you’d be willing to risk walking outside on the streets at night. But please bear in mind the time you are going to do it and the place where you will do your hunting. Robberies have been reported from players and the risks was higher during night time. It is very easy to grab your phone since you are busy looking at it and before you know it, the robber is already out into the shadows leaving you with no phone and no clue.
5. RELATIONSHIP MATTERS…
Pokemon Go is even replacing Tinder. Many people have accidentally meet fellow enthusiasts who shares the same goal as you are and winding up on a date. But its not a good path with relationships for everyone some have become “Pokemon Widows” because of the game. One man said he was busted cheating on his girlfriend after the game showed her he had caught a Pokémon at his ex’s house. So breakups have also became trendy in the game.
