Over a decade, Bleach has become a part of our anime history and still gains massive popularity all over the world. But the latest news just revealed that the end for the manga is coming to a close. The 73rd volume of Tite Kubo’s long-running Bleach manga revealed on Monday that the 74th volume will be the last, it was also announced in the 31st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The final volume will ship this fall, a really sad news but let’s try to look at the bright side.
Tite Kubo launched the long-running manga series in 2001, from there it gained the popularity competing with Naruto and One Piece. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that ran for 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012 (the manga entered its final story arc in February 2012). High hopes from fans of Bleach is still ongoing for the anime series to launch its new episodes even after the news that the manga is coming to a close.
The manga inspired four anime films, a series of novels, video games, and even musical adaptations launched in 2005. Viz Media announced last month that it will release the television anime series on Blu-ray Disc starting on July 19.
Most fans definitely thinks that the latest issues of the manga has become a slow-paced arcs and the 74th volume would not be enough to manage pulling off an everlasting and satisfying end to this famous manga. But others agree to the fact that it should have happened much earlier than that.
Well, isn’t it going to be disappointing not to see the rest of the bankai revealed for the rest of the Captains or Zero Squad bankai? But I guess we cant do anything about it now, its totally up to Tie Kubo on how he will fill up the pages of the upcoming 74th Volume.
Releasing the last volume of Bleach is somehow ironic that it also hit its 15th year in anime and manga world , I guess it is a good time to say goodbye to Bleach.
