Your Lie in April Gets A Live-Action Film!

The popular Naoshi Arakawa’s Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) manga gets a live-action film featuring Kento Yamazaki (left) as Kōsei Arima( he starred as “L” in the live-action film of Death Note), and Suzu Hirose (right) as Kaori Miyazono. The new visual released by the official website recreates the manga’s first volume.

Yes, she won’t be the “blonde” Kaori we loved in the anime adaptation but I guess that wouldn’t make any difference right?. Your Lie in April was one of the most romantic anime series of all time but a live-action film? We will see how it goes…

For those who never saw the anime nor read the manga and wants to know what Your Lie in April is about, here’s a short synopsis:

Music accompanies the path of the human metronome, the prodigious pianist Kousei Arima. But after the passing of his mother, Saki Arima, Kousei falls into a downward spiral, rendering him unable to hear the sound of his own piano.

Two years later, Kousei still avoids the piano, leaving behind his admirers and rivals, and lives a colorless life alongside his friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari. However, everything changes when he meets a beautiful violinist, Kaori Miyazono, who stirs up his world and sets him on a journey to face music again.

Based on the manga series of the same name, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso approaches the story of Kousei’s recovery as he discovers that music is more than playing each note perfectly, and a single melody can bring in the fresh spring air of April. The live-action film is slated to be released in Japan this coming September 10, 2016.

Your Lie in April set itself to be a stand-out romance series that reminds us that while some relationships may be transient and brief, and some people will come into our lives at just the right time for just long enough to touch us in a way we never thought possible. It’s about inspiration, passion, moving forward, family, friendship, helping each other (many more). It is about life and how hard it can be to carry on, but you still gotta do it. You still gotta live your life to your fullest. So its a must-watch anime series or even for the live-action!
