After a long wait of scheduled and delayed dates of release, the long dream of virtual reality fans will finally get the chance to get a high-tech treat of the much anticipated PlayStation VR system from Sony.
“That is a bit later than the time frame we previously stated, and I want to thank everyone for their patience and continued support,” said Sony President and Global CEO Andrew House to their avid customers and fans.”PlayStation VR represents a transformative experience in gaming, and we wanted to take the time needed to launch with a broad variety of content and a sufficient supply of hardware.” he added.
The final, consumer version of PS VR includes an OLED display, 5.7-inch screen, 1920×1080 resolution, 360 degree tracking and latency of less than 18ms. Plus, it supports 3D audio.Also,it is only exclusive to the PS4 (Play Station 4) consoles.
The PlayStation VR headset is said to cost $400 (€400 / £350 / ¥44,980) which will land this month of October 2016. The set price doesn’t include the move controllers nor the PlayStation Camera ( which is very essential for the system’s positional tracking capabilities) so better save up now.
