Can you feel the increasing vibes of love in the air this season? Valentines Day is coming very soon and this is surely a love month everyone is excited about(well for lovers). And so, let’s celebrate the love month with them by introducing one of the greatest love story anime on television, Say “I love you”. Well from the title itself its pretty much obvious how the story will go but this anime is really catching the attention of many people because their love story is not that normal like everyone else have.
“Friends suck, and trusting someone is just setting yourself up. That’s the lesson Mei Tachibana learned after her heart was ripped out and only a shell was left where a girl used to be. But unlike so many, she found an easy solution: she’ll never make another friend. Ever.
Okay, maybe that’s not as easy as it sounds, but it’s worked for Mei – or at least, it did until handsome, charming and annoyingly popular Yamato Kurosawa came along. For some freakish reason, he seems to like Mei. He even gave her his phone number! As if she would ever call him. Except she did. But only because she needed help. Still, he came. He actually came. And now things are getting way too complicated. Mei’s no princess in a tower. She’s not waiting for a knight in shining armor to rescue her. So why did he have to kiss her and confuse everything? And why are those three little words so hard to say?”
The character development of how they felt in love with each other is totally right on point especially for those who knows what it felt to fall on love the first time(and falling hard too). It may have been just one of the past animes with one hot guy and a certain girl but it really depends on how the series will show you the development of their relationship. And this one has convinced me really well that the two of them should be a good couple to look up to.
Others may want a more unexpected stories but sometimes stories like this bring out the butterflies on our bellies and daydream of someone who could treat us the same like Yamato and Mei. Each of us has different likes of love story to watch but I suggest for those who likes to have a close to realistic love story to watch Sukitte Ii na yo(Say “I Love You”).
